Aajima

In Newar culture, Aajima (or Ajima) is a highly revered group of goddesses who serve as the collective "Grandmothers" and protectors of the Kathmandu Valley. The name itself is derived from the Nepal Bhasa words "Aji" (Grandmother) and "Ma" (Mother).
