Patta
Patta was inspired by the elongated decorative copper plank traditionally found on temple façades in Kathmandu. Functioning as a symbolic axis, the Patta signifies the relationship between the terrestrial and the cosmic realms. My engagement with this form stems from an interest in how architectural material details embody spiritual philosophy and how such elements can be recontextualised within contemporary artistic practice.
